Whether you're a seasoned songwriter or just starting out, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to take their music to the next level. Dive deep into songwriting techniques with award-winning songwriter and A&R at ">span> : heludee,">span>, and enter the world of Ableton production with Dj / Producer dnalien.">span>. You will learn how to craft dynamic and engaging songs that truly stand out.

Bring a laptop or a musical instrument if you'd like. We will have a guitar, keyboards, mics and a mixer, and of course a sound system :))

Songwriting Workshop (Part 1 - 4 h)

• Intoduction to Epsilon Records and diVerse Records
• Introduction to how a song is made (for the total beginners) and to some useful tools such as:
• ChatGPT
• rhymezone (for english)
• ">span> (for german)
• Small composing tips for completing a top-line melody quick and easy

Depending on the number of participants, we will be separated into smaller teams (equally shared beginners-intermediate-advanced) and together we will work to deliver a complete song (top-line melody and lyrics).

Lunch Break

Intro to Song Production in Ableton Live (Part 2 - 4 h)

Once the process is completed, we move on to producing the song we just wrote in Ableton.

• The session will delve into the practical aspects of music production using Ableton Live software to bring the song to life.
• In this phase, we will explore how to incorporate live performance elements into our tracks by sampling. This technique allows us to capture unique sounds and integrate them creatively into our music. Participants will learn how to use MIDI controllers to input melodies, drum patterns, and other musical elements, giving them hands-on experience with the software's powerful capabilities.
• We will also discuss the use of virtual instruments and effects to enhance the musical texture and depth of our productions. Whether you're layering synths or tweaking drum loops, the session aims to provide a comprehensive overview of how to utilize Ableton to achieve professional-sounding results.

The workshop will be interactive, with opportunities for participants to apply these techniques in real-time to their own projects. By the end of this session, attendees should have a solid understanding of the production process in Ableton and be well on their way to producing a polished song.
