Uruguay Tango Day 2024

The Consulate-General of Uruguay in Sydney and Instituto Cervantes in Sydney collaborate to celebrate the Uruguay Tango Day by screening the documentary Cambalache. La historia and Las voces will be the two chapters to be screened in this special documentary by Rosalía Alonso that explores the Uruguay tango scene looking for the imprint of the generations that are transforming their music, their poetry and their dance. Two professionals from La Casa del Tango will perform a live demonstration of the Uruguayan tango at the end of the screenings and the Consulate-General of Uruguay will provide a catering. El Consulado General de Uruguay en Sídney y el Instituto Cervantes de Sídney colaboran para celebrar el Día del Tango Uruguayo proyectando el documental Cambalache. La historia y Las voces son los dos capítulos que se proyectarán de este especial documental de Rosalía Alonso que recorre la escena del tango uruguayo buscando la impronta de las generaciones que están transformando su música, su poesía y su baile. Dos profesionales de La Casa del Tango llevarán a cabo una demostración en vivo del tango uruguayo al final de las proyecciones y el Consulado General de Uruguay proporcionará un catering. ¡Ven a verlo!
