Startup Legal Essentials: Getting Your Business Off the Ground

Startup Legal Essentials: Getting Your Business Off the Ground
9 October 2024
WEDNESDAY
6 p.m.

In 2023, nearly half a million new businesses entered the Australian market. During that same period, Australia had its third-highest funding year on record, with 413 deals totalling $3.5 billion. With many new ventures getting off the ground, it’s important to make the right decisions early on to ensure success.

In conjunction with NSW Small Business Month 2024, LegalVision is hosting a free in-person event on ‘Startup Legal Essentials: Getting Your Business Off the Ground’ to help you understand the legal fundamentals that will set you up for success.

Join us on Wednesday, 9 October, at 6 pm when Stephen Drysdale (Practice Leader), Sophie Pemberton (Senior Lawyer) and Thomas Linnane (Lawyer) discuss:

  • choosing the right business structure for your startup to drive growth and tax benefits;
  • safeguarding your business with contracts and essential legal protections, including commercial, privacy and employment; and
  • shielding your brand through effective intellectual property strategies.

This session will provide practical insights and legal knowledge to ensure your business is built on a strong foundation.

Following the presentation, there will be a live Q&A, light refreshments and networking opportunities. You are also eligible to receive a free legal consultation.
