What is the Strategy Expo and why are we doing it?

UNSW is now one of the world’s best universities. We are a high-calibre education and research institution with leading experts in disciplines that are having very real impacts on the prosperity of people and communities right across the world.

The UNSW Strategy: Progress for All is currently in development. With S25 drawing to a close and as we mark 75 years in 2024, it’s apt that we are developing the University’s next strategy. The new strategy will identify our priorities for the next 10 years and set the cornerstone for our centenary in 2049.

The Strategy team wants to showcase the ideas that have been designed for the future direction of the University. The process to date in developing the Strategy has been one of co-creation bringing in staff, students and community from across the University.

Your perspectives and input are vital as we finesse our strategy. You’ll be able to look at the latest work, provide your feedback in person and online and engage with our University community.

When and where is it happening?

Monday 21 October from 2pm to Thursday 24 October at 5pm at the Michael Crouch Innovation Centre on Kensington Campus.

Speaker series will be run in person and online and it will also be possible to look at the expo materials online too.

We will also be hosting a series of pop-up stalls across Paddington, Canberra, Greater Sydney and our regional sites.

What is the event format?

This will be a four-day event with a range of activities.

There will be an exhibition hall with posters that showcase the latest ideas for the vision, themes and objectives of the Strategy. This will provide you with a unique opportunity to hear more about the Strategy draft, ask questions and provide your feedback and views.

Over a dozen short talks, presentations and panels will take place during the expo. UNSW Founders will also host a series of workshops and seminars which you are invited to attend.

For those who are unable to attend, materials for the exhibition hall will be online and speaker series can be attended online too.
