For more than 65,000 years prior to European settlement Wareamah (Cockatoo Island) was a site of immense cultural significance for the Wallumedegal, Wangal, Cammeraygal and Gadigal people comprising the Eora Nation.

Bizarro would like to acknowledge that this event, and all the work that we undertake happens on stolen land. We wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we are holding this event, the Wallumedegal, Wangal, Cammeraygal and Gadigal people of the Eora nation, and their Elders past, present, and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land.
