Lisa Simone is an American singer and vocalist known for her soulful, jazz-infused style of music. Born on September 12, 1962, in Mount Vernon, New York, Lisa is the daughter of the legendary singer and pianist Nina Simone.
Growing up in a family of musicians, it was no surprise that Lisa would eventually follow in her mother's footsteps. After her mother's death in 2003, Lisa began to perform in her own right, releasing her first album, "Simone on Simone," in 2008.
Since then, Lisa has become a respected artist in her own right, known for her powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence.
