PAPA SMURF
Papa Smurf is the stage name of Giovanni Polizzi, a veteran DJ from Melbourne who has been a prominent figure in Australia's underground dance scene since the 1990s. Known for his electrifying personality and euphoric trance sets, he gained a cult following during the city's rave culture boom and held residencies at iconic venues like Chasers, Mansion, and Dome. After a hiatus, Papa Smurf made a notable comeback at the 2020 Pitch Music & Arts Festival, reintroducing his old-school trance sound to a new generation.
