About us…
Moulded by community, connection and culture, Bypass is an event platform created by Bangladeshi-Pakistani Eora-raised DJ, Deepa, a love-letter, storytelling and curation device for dance music and beyond.
A Bypass dancefloor is an invitation to the cookout, and a vacay to the liminal space between connection and being free. The rules are clear…listen to your aunties, lean in to let go. Drawing from the curator's personal experiences, the lineups are a roundtable for the brightest across dance music, live music, art and performance with Bypass as the conduit to connect diaspora to diaspora.
Bypass is joined by Freqy Rhythm; a record label and event series prioritising and uplifting the LGBTQI+ community in Naarm, Australia, and beyond.
The label provides a platform for artists to embrace their own freqy rhythm; to be unapologetically themselves and showcase their sound. Their events take a multi-discipline approach, bringing art and music together as a collaborative and symbiotic expression, drawing energy from the shared experience of the collective.
