Beth Orton is a British singer-songwriter, renowned for her unique mix of electronic and acoustic music and soulful lyrics. Known to her many fans as the "comedienne" of the alternative rock arena, Beth Orton's thoughtful, emotionally charged songwriting has won her widespread critical acclaim.
Born on 14th December 1970 in East Dereham, Norfolk, England, Beth’s music career started in the early 90s. After growing up in Norwich, she moved to London and began making music with her brother's band, The Tarka Groove. Early career highlights for Orton include her debut album "Trailer Park" which showcased her distinctive blend of electronic beats with an ethereal folk spirit.
