Mosaic art is the decoration of a surface with small, variously coloured pieces of material. The pieces, which can be made of stone, glass, tiles, or a variety of other materials, are called tesserae. They are applied to the surface with an adhesive.
Participants will learn different ways of designing mosaic patterns using different kinds of tiles to create and decorate a variety of practical items for personal use at home or in the office, and even as personalised gifts to friends and loves ones.
