Participants will learn how to train the mind to purposefully pay attention to the present moment, without judging the experience. You will be introduced to the connection between the mind and the body, explore the habits of the mind, investigate stress triggers and one’s reactivity, understand anxiety and its impact. You will also learn how to cultivate kindness towards yourself and others.

SUITABLE FOR

People who have little or no knowledge of mindfulness and wish to learn how to apply it in their daily lives. Suitable for adults and teenagers aged 16 and above.

Course fee:

Normal: $160.

$32 for seniors eligible for National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy*.

*NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.

Course fee may be offset by SkillsFuture Credit (SFC).

If Skillsfuture credits are to be applied for, the amount paid is a deposit to guarantee your seat and will be refunded when skillsfuture credits are confirmed and paid to Brahm Centre.

Payment Procedure:

1) Upon registration, course participants are to make payment for the course through Brahm Centre’s Eventbrite page.

2) Participants have to claim with SFC before the course start date through the SkillsFuture portal, index.html

3) Brahm Centre will reimburse the amount that is successfully claimed upon receipt of the funds from SFC. This procedure can take up to 12 weeks from the course end date.

Notes:

· Please take note that payments for courses are non-refundable.

· Request for transfers or make up-classes for selected mindfulness courses are subjected to availability and fees of $30 for the transfer of the whole course and $10 for every request to make-up classes are applicable.

Trainer Bio:

Hsueh Ya Wen is a Certified Mindfulness Trainer at Brahm Centre and a Certified .b Trainer from the Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP), UK. With over 20 years of experience as an educator with the Ministry of Education (MOE), she has worked with students and parents from diverse backgrounds.

Her personal journey with mindfulness has deeply influenced her personal well-being and parenting style towards her three teenage daughters. As a cancer survivor, Ya Wen has experienced first-hand the healing power of mindfulness, which played a crucial role in her recovery.

Passionate about empowering others, she is dedicated to supporting and guiding youths, parents, educators and cancer patients towards leading happier and healthier lives through mindfulness
