Finding Balance: Guided Meditation Day Retreat

Finding Balance: Guided Meditation Day Retreat

When we gain the realization of equanimity our mind becomes peaceful and we do not feel disturbed whatever our circumstances. ... If everyone were to develop equanimity they would not be governed by attachment and hatred, and they would find freedom from suffering."

– Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

Take a day out of your busy schedule to relax in our peaceful meditation space for a day of guided retreat.

During this retreat, we will be training in the sublime meditations that give rise to equanimity – a warm and friendly feeling towards all living beings. This precious state of mind frees us from unbalanced attitudes such as anger, jealousy and fear – states of mind that disturb our inner peace – and as a result we will find that many of our own personal problems are overcome.

Each retreat session will include time for brief preliminary prayers to prepare us for meditation, guidance from the retreat Teacher, Gen Kelsang Rabka, plenty of time for meditation, as well as time for Q&A.

This retreat is open to everyone regardless of experience, and is perfectly suitable for Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike. Everybody is welcome!
