Early Read Fiesta | Discovering the World of Pixels and Codes Mega Show

In this dynamic digital workshop, children will dive into the world of coding through the interactive reading of How to Code a Sandcastle by Josh Funk. The trainer, playing the role of Pearl from the story, will guide preschoolers on an adventure to build the perfect sandcastle using coding concepts like sequences, loops, and conditionals. Throughout the story, children will participate in engaging activities that bring these coding ideas to life, such as helping to guide a robot using directional commands and solving sequencing challenges. The session wraps up with a fun coding song and a take-home activity called “Let’s Code a Castle,” where children complete a sequence-based activity using stickers. This workshop provides an exciting introduction to coding concepts in a way that’s fun, interactive, and age-appropriate for young learners.
