Couple Workshop: The Art of Engagement - Speaking So Your Partner Listens

We talk all the time. We believe that amazing things can happen when the quality of conversation is great, whether it's in our daily casual conversations with our partner, or when making plans for the family, and even in moments when we have disagreements. The way we talk, our conversational preferences, and the verbal styles we use can all impact the outcomes of our conversations. Without awareness and skill in our voices, we can negatively impact others unintentionally.

We've combined years of research, training, and experience to bring you data-driven insights and solution-focused methodologies that elevate your talk, resulting in better quality of conversation and relationship. Because everything is conversation, and it all starts with your SoundWave®.

Join us for this one-day workshop to discover the way we tend to talk and understand how we make each other feel through the way we talk. As we learn practical skills on how to talk better, we realise that we can connect more meaningfuly with your spouse through better conversations.

Key learning outcomes:

1. Become more conscious about the way we naturally speak and how you are being heard by your partner

2. Learn about the three SoundWave® verbal styles - Asking, Suggesting and Telling - and the nine different verbal strategies or voices (Inquire, Probe, Diagnose, Articulate, Advise, Advocate, Challenge, Critique & Correct) available to you in your conversations.

3. Understand the patterns that tend to trigger our partners as well as people around us.

4. Develop skills to use your voices intentionally and skilfully to affect others in the way that helps you to create stronger relational connections with your partner, even through moments of disagreements.

Sign-up Instructions:This workshop is recommended for dating and married couples, who desire to build the the foundations of stronger communication for a thriving and fulfilling marriage.

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, please take note of the following terms and conditions:

• Couples will be required to individually complete a SoundWave® assessment profile before the workshop. Further details and instructions will be sent to you via email. This profile is an integral part of the workshop and will contribute to its effectiveness in addressing your specific relationship needs.
• Please be aware that there are some references to Christian scriptures (about 5% of total content) will be made during the workshop. We warmly welcome both Christian and non-Christian couples to join us, as the workshop aims to provide valuable insights applicable to all couples, regardless of their faith background.
• Kindly note that tickets are non-transferrable. Each SoundWave assessment profile is unique to the registered couple and cannot be transferred to another couple. This ensures that the workshop content and discussions align with your specific relationship dynamics.
• Requests to change workshop dates are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. We will make every effort to accommodate your request, but please understand that availability constraints may apply.
• To initiate a change request, kindly submit your request in writing to [email protected] at least 5 working days prior to the event. This advance notice allows us to make the necessary arrangements.
• Change requests received less than 5 working days before the event will incur a change request admin fee of $50. We regret any inconvenience caused by this fee, which is necessary to cover the expenses incurred due to any pre-payments.
• In the event of a no-show, refunds will not be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, as resources and preparations are allocated based on the confirmed number of participants.
• We will be in contact with you about 1-2 months before the workshop to share more administrative information regarding the workshop as well as the assessment.
