About the Speaker

Michelle Choy is an Occupational Therapist trained in Australia, with a profound dedication to mental health and education spanning over 25 years. Her deep interest in fostering resilience, executive function and authentic connection in children and adults has been the cornerstone of her career.

Her personal journey as a resilient parent, navigating the immense challenges of raising 6 children while founding two companies, earned her recognition as one of Singapore’s 40-over-40 Inspiring Women in 2021. This prestigious accolade was presented by Ms. Sun Xue Ling, Minister of State, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Social and Family Development. It reflects Michelle's unwavering commitment to empowering individuals to overcome obstacles and thrive.

Drawing upon her therapist's perspective, Michelle has successfully raised 6 resilient children, one of whom achieved international acclaim by emerging as the champion in the prestigious International Moot Competition, triumphing over 140 law teams worldwide.

Driven by her passion to equip parents with the tools to nurture resilience in their children, Michelle co-founded The Little Executive with a fellow therapist, where they pioneered neuroscience-based executive function skills and resilience programs for children, transforming hundreds of families. They have also been hired by both public and private schools to develop their students’ resilience and executive function skills.

Michelle's expertise has garnered widespread recognition, as evidenced by her regular appearances in prominent media outlets such as CNA, Ch5, Ch8, 93.8 Radio, The Sunday Times Life and LianHe Zaobao. Her insights into mental health, resilience, and education have made her a sought-after expert on panel discussions with the Ministry of Education, POSB Parents and numerous health and education public forums. She also holds a certification as an International Certified Professional Trainer, U.K. (ICPT).

Outside of her professional work, she gives back to the community through volunteering at a hospice, crisis support hotline, teaching young children, and supporting the elderly. Certified as a Professional Mentor by the Asia Institute of Mentoring, Michelle pays it forward by generously sharing her knowledge and experience, mentoring individuals to reach their full potential.
