About The Artist: AURORA

AURORA is a celebrated Norwegian singer-songwriter renowned for her ethereal voice and unique blend of pop, folk, and electronic music. Bursting onto the scene with her debut EP in 2015, she quickly gained international acclaim, with hit singles like “Runaway” and “Queendom.” Her debut album, All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend, was met with critical success, solidifying her status as a rising star.

AURORA’s music often explores themes of nature, love, and self-discovery, captivating audiences with her poetic lyrics and emotional depth. She has performed at major festivals worldwide, including Coachella and Glastonbury, and her songs have been featured in prominent films and TV shows, enhancing their cultural impact.

Her fourth album, What Happened to the Heart?, showcases her artistic growth and has received widespread acclaim. With multiple awards and nominations, including the Spellemann Award and a place on Billboard’s “21 Under 21,” AURORA continues to push musical boundaries and inspire fans globally.

About The Album: What Happened To The Heart?

In April 2022, AURORA encountered a transformative letter titled “We Are the Earth,” co-written by indigenous activists, which called for a collective response to global warming and healing the land. Inspired by the letter’s message about the deep connection between humanity and the earth, AURORA began exploring the question, “What happened to the heart?” This curiosity led her to study human anatomy and reflect on how Western culture has lost touch with the heart’s true significance. Her album, What Happened To The Heart?, embodies a journey from weakness to strength and self-destruction to self-healing. It poignantly explores themes of spiritual disconnection in modern society, the healing power of vulnerability, and the importance of reconnecting the heart with politics and personal growth.
