About the Programme/Event

As Singapore’s population ages, dementia cases are also on the rise, with 1 in 10 people above 60 suffering from dementia. While there is no cure for dementia yet, there are effective ways to keep it at bay and lower your risk of contracting it.

Join us as we bring you the successful Age Well Everyday (AWE) programme, an evidence-based, volunteer-driven community programme run by RSVP Singapore since 2019 and developed by the Yeo Boon Khim Mind Science Centre. The programme aims to prevent and delay the onset of dementia and improve the quality of life of the elderly.

During the AWE programme, you will be guided through various activities to improve mood, delay cognitive deterioration, and reduce anxiety and stress. These activities include:

1.    Exercises to Boost Cognition and Health
2.    Health Education
3.    Mindful Awareness Practice
4.    Music Reminiscence and Rhythm

As the activities aim to build proficiency progressively, we strongly encourage you to attend all 8 sessions. Join us on Mondays from 10 am to 12:30pm on the following dates:

•    Jul 8, 15, 22, 29
•    August 5, 12, 19, 26

This programme is jointly brought to you by the National Library Board and RSVP Singapore The Organisation of Senior Volunteers. RSVP Singapore The Organisation of Senior Volunteers is an Institution of Public Character and the National Centre of Excellence for Senior Volunteerism under the patronage of President Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
