Open Attic

29 June 2024 4 p.m.
MAGICAL GATHERING UNDER THE WOODEN BEAMS OF CROSS ATTIC

Cross Attic has been our secret playground for the last half a year, a nest 129 stairs up in the sky. Now we are excited to share the magic of the attic with you ~ come and join us for a cozy afternoon at the end of the season.

🍥 The event is free to enter and come and go as you please. We will have refreshments available and most importantly, there will be a cake! 🍥

🔺 16:00-22:00 (ongoing) Mara Ingea: A Cabinet of Curiosity in Progress

A Cabinet of Curiosity in Progress is an interactive installation from a collection of peculiar objects found in the attic assembled together to put the space in movement.

🔺 16:00-22:00 (ongoing) En-Ping Yu: Tip-Toe

Tip-toe is an interactive installation where audience members are invited to engage in a game of searching balance with companionship of objects and surfaces.

🔺16:00-20:30 (every 30 minutes for 1 person) Michal Salwinski: Pigeonship Room
16:00, 16:30, 17:00, 17:30, 18:00, 18:30, 19:00, 19:30, 20:00

one-person meditation in a room where the wind breeze can make you feel like flying.
You are invited to stretch out on a wooden beam and be guided by the pigeonship voice.

🔺17:00 🎂 Ceremonious Cake Cutting

🔺17:30-18:10 Mara Ingea: Objectravelling

A participatory exploration of potential machines and probable places, through object manipulation and assemblages. This experience invites participants to take part in a collective journey of curiosity and playfulness, unraveling meanings and connections between materials and imaginary worlds.

🔺 19:00-20:00 Eszter Koncz: Speculative Playground

Over the last couple of months, we grew very attached to the stuffy and dark rooms of Cross Attic, and yet we have to admit this space comes with a few practical and architectural issues that could be solved ~ hopefully with your help! (e.g. how could we skip climbing those 129 stairs, or what if we had a giant forever-full fridge with ice cream to fight against the summer heat)

🔺 20:30-22:00 Sai: Quaidan-koh

Invitation for a gathering to talk about horror/mysterious stories which is a common and traditional activity in Japan. Introducing Japanese culture and spiritual landscapes.

The horror storytelling party will be held in a relaxed and casual mood. We'll provide nice and wired Japanese snacks and green tea. Feeling the darkness together at the end of a day at the secret Attic. And it is said that ghosts visit us after 100 stories.
