Weekend Contact Improvisation workshop with Eva Mora
Description:
I am welcoming you to a weekend workshop of contact improvisation for everyone who wishes to dive into the practice or experience the basics of the technique.
Following basic principles of the contact technique and improvisation, we will explore touch, weight, awareness of the space and listening to our own body and the others with curiosity, care and playfulness.
We will practice observing the details, stopping to contemplate, with time, opening our senses and showing ourselves permeable to subtleties. We will make games with the intention of getting to know ourselves and find different ways of relating to each other.
Language: English
Difficulty: open to all levels of contact improvisation experience.
Date: Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of May, 2024
Time: 10:00 - 14:00
Location: CIRQUEON Studio - centrum pro nový cirkus

What to bring: recommended to bring some water, comfortable clothes and a notebook and pen (optional). We will dance barefoot or in socks.
About me: "After finishing my studies in dance, I've been freelancing as a contemporary dance performer between Spain, Budapest and Prague. I’ve been working with different companies and creating my own work, as well as offering workshops and classes. Improvisation, instant composition and contact improvisation are especially exciting for me. I am interested in dance improvisation as an art form, also as a way of connecting with each other and as a tool for learning about ourselves and our surroundings."
