Winger is a metal heavy metal band formed in New York City in 1987. The original lineup included singer/guitarist Kip Winger, bassist/keyboardist Paul Taylor, guitarist Reb Beach and drummer Rod Morgenstein. The band achieved mainstream success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their albums Winger and In the Heart of the Young.
The band has released six studio albums, one live album and one compilation. Their most successful single was “Headed for a Heartbreak”, which reached #18 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart in 1989.
