Stiff Little Fingers are a punk rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland, who formed in 1977. The band has gone through numerous lineup changes over the years, but the core of the band – lead vocalist and guitarist Jake Burns, bassist Ali McMordie, and drummer Steve Grantley – have remained the same.
The band is best known for its energetic live shows, and is often credited with helping to launch the punk rock movement in the UK. Their debut album, Inflammable Material, was released in 1979, and the band achieved international success with the single “Alternative Ulster”.
Stiff Little Fingers has released eight studio albums, and continues to tour and perform regularly. Their most recent album, No Going Back, was released in 2014.
