Michael Roachford is an English singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer from London. He has released 8 studio albums as a solo artist and as a member of the British band The Cross.
Roachford’s career began in the early 1980s when he formed The Cross, a band he co-founded with guitarist David Cross and drummer Pete Bullen. The trio released two albums, The Cross and Shove It, before disbanding in 1988. Roachford then began his solo career, releasing his debut album, Heart of the Matter, in 1989.
