Plini is an Australian instrumental progressive rock and alternative rock band formed in 2011 by guitarist/composer Plini Roessler-Holgate. The band's music is characterized by its melodic, intricate and innovative style, blending elements from progressive rock, jazz fusion, and ambient music with modern production techniques.

Plini was born in Sydney, Australia and began his musical journey playing piano at the age of 8. He then picked up the guitar at the age of 12, and spent his teenage years honing his technique and developing his own style. After a few years of playing in bands, Plini began to write and record instrumental music, eventually releasing his debut EP 'Other Things' in 2012.

Since then, Plini has released two full-length albums - 'Handmade Cities' (2016) and 'Sunhead' (2018), both of which have been critically acclaimed and received international attention. In 2020, Plini released his third full-length album 'Impulse Voices', which further cemented the band's unique sound and showcased their ability to create music that is both technically proficient and emotionally captivating.

Plini is known for their energetic and captivating live performances, which combine the complexity of their studio material with improvisation and on-stage chemistry. The band has performed at major festivals such as NAMM, Unify, ProgPower and Dream Theater's Distance Over Time tour.
