Pentatonix is a five-member American a cappella group that combines elements of both rock and pop music. The group was formed in 2011 and is comprised of vocalists Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Mitch Grassi, Matt Sallee, and Kevin Olusola.
The group quickly gained popularity after the release of their self-titled album in 2014 and have gone on to become one of the most successful a cappella groups of all time. Pentatonix has earned three Grammy awards for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella, as well as Best Country Duo/Group Performance, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
