Title: The Global Soundwaves of Mr Eazi: From Nigeria to Everywhere

Mr Eazi, born Oluwatosin Ajibade, isn't just an artist; he is a movement, a flagbearer for the sounds of the New Africa. He is an all-round musician primarily known for his R&B tunes but has several other genres like Afrobeats, Hip-hop, and Dancehall, among others, comfortably hanging around his musical waist. In every sense, he’s the embodiment of the global music scene's dynamic evolution.

Born on July 19, 1991, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Mr Eazi spent vital parts of his formative years shuttling between Ghana and Nigeria. This shaped his perspective and considerably influenced his revolutionary style, becoming the bridge between these two West African musical hotbeds. A graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, Oluwatosin made a transition from organizing parties and promoting concerts to becoming a leading voice in the African music industry.

Mr Eazi started his music career in 2012 with the release of his mixtape "About to Blow". But he truly burst onto the scene in 2015 with his smash hit "Skin Tight", featuring Ghanaian songstress Efya. The song garnered massive airplay across Africa, marking the arrival of a new, unique voice on the music scene.

Best known for pioneering Banku Music, a style that blends Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions with a laid-back, offbeat style, Mr Eazi’s influence extends far beyond his own records. He has seamlessly merged various African styles while incorporating a global appeal through collaborations with artists like Major Lazer, Diplo, and French Montana.

In 2016, Eazi gained international prominence when he was featured on the music platform COLORS, where artists worldwide perform their songs live. His unique sound and distinct identity made him stand apart, and soon he was signed to Diplo's Mad Decent label and Columbia Records UK. The following year, his mixtape "Life Is Eazi, Vol. 1 - Accra To Lagos” was released, detailing his musical journey and influences.

A vocal advocate for African talent, Eazi launched emPawa Africa, an incubator program for emerging African artists, in 2018. This initiative is aimed at mentoring and funding music hopefuls across the continent, thus showing his dedication not only to his craft but to uplifting and progressing the African music industry as a whole.

Mr Eazi’s music transcends barriers and borders. Indeed, his latest project, “Something Else” EP, released in 2021, further solidifies his standing as a true musical innovator and global influencer. His sounds redefine African music and shape its narrative in the global context, giving it wider visibility and appreciation.

His career, adorned by several awards, including the prestigious MOBO Award, is a testament to his unique style and outstanding contribution to African music. The freshness of his beats and lyrics, combined with his captivating personality, positions him as an artist clearly moving the African music scene to the world beat by beat, note by note, and indeed, Eazi does it.
