Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1994, the group originally consisted of lead vocalist Adam Levine, keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, bassist Mickey Madden, lead guitarist James Valentine, drummer Ryan Dusick, and rhythm guitarist Matt Flynn. The band's debut album, Songs About Jane, was released in 2002 and was met with worldwide commercial success, spawning the hits "Harder to Breathe," "This Love," and "She Will Be Loved."
Since then, Maroon 5 has released five more studio albums, all of which have been met with success. The band's latest album, Red Pill Blues, was released in 2017 and topped the charts in the United States as well as other countries such as the United Kingdom and Canada.
