Elliott Brood is a critically acclaimed Canadian folk-rock band from Toronto, Ontario. The group is composed of singer-songwriters/multi-instrumentalists Casey Laforet, Mark Sasso and Stephen Pitkin. The trio is known for their dynamic live shows, which mix traditional folk instruments such as banjo and mandolin with rock and punk influences.

Elliott Brood formed in 2000 and released their debut album, Tin Type, in 2003. The album was an immediate success, and the group went on to become one of the most popular and well-respected acts in the Canadian indie music scene. Their sophomore album, Ambassador, was released in 2005 and was met with equal critical acclaim.

The band has also released several other albums, including Mountain Meadows (2008), Days Into Years (2011), and Work and Love (2014). They have performed at several music festivals, including the Ottawa Folk Festival, Hillside Festival, and Winnipeg Folk Festival.

Elliott Brood’s music has been described as “raw, rustic and rollicking,” and they have collaborated with numerous other musicians and bands, including The Tragically Hip, Feist, and the Sadies. They have also contributed to the soundtracks of several films, including The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Good Will Hunting.
