Counterparts
Counterparts is a Canadian post-hardcore band from Hamilton, Ontario, formed in 2007. The band currently consists of vocalist Brendan Murphy, guitarists Jesse Doreen and Adrian Lee, bassist Brian Kaczmarczyk, and drummer Kelly Bilan. Counterparts is known for their aggressive sound, combining elements of post-hardcore, metalcore, and melodic hardcore.
Counterparts has released five studio albums, six EPs, and two split albums throughout their career. Their most recent album, You're Not You Anymore, was released in 2017 and debuted at #24 on the US Billboard Heatseekers chart. The album also yielded two singles, "Bouquet" and "Swim Beneath My Skin".
Counterparts has toured extensively in support of their work, including multiple full-length tours across Europe, the United States, and Canada. The band has shared the stage with acts such as The Acacia Strain, Blessthefall, and Being as an Ocean.
Counterparts will be embarking on a headlining tour of the United States in the spring of 2020. The tour will feature support from Dayseeker, Varials, and VCTMS. Tickets for the tour go on sale on January 31, 2020.
