Aston Merrygold
SINGER
Aston Merrygold is a singer, dancer and songwriter from the UK who is best known for being part of the hugely successful boy band JLS. Prior to joining JLS, Merrygold was a solo artist and dancer, performing in a number of stage shows, commercials and music videos.
Since joining JLS in 2007, Merrygold has enjoyed a string of chart-topping singles and albums, including their debut album, JLS, which sold over 1 million copies worldwide. The band has also won numerous awards, including two MOBO Awards and two Brit Awards.
Merrygold has been a judge on the reality TV show Got to Dance and was a guest judge on the UK version of The X Factor in both 2012 and 2013. He also competed in the 2017 series of Strictly Come Dancing, making it to the final four.
Since JLS split in 2013, Merrygold has released a number of solo singles, including ‘Get Stupid’ and ‘Precious’. He has also collaborated on a number of songs, including ‘Show Me Love’ with Sigma and ‘Somewhere New’ with Mollie King.
In 2017, Merrygold released his debut solo album, Showstopper, which featured a number of collaborations with big-name artists, including Craig David and KSI.
