Democracy in Russia. Mission impossible?

Demokratet i Russland virker som utopi i dag. Angrepskrigen mot Ukraina er i full gang, det er mer ett tusen politiske fanger i landet og alt motstand knuses nådeløst. Det ser mørkt ut, men er det også håp?

Vi inviterer til en kveld hvor dere kan lære om dagens russiske demokratiske krefter og bli kjent med russere som står imot krigen over hele verden i dag. Programmet inkluderer panelsamtale om muligheter for demokratisk utvikling i Russland i overskuelig fremtid, og det blir anledning for å møte representanter for russiske demokratiske initiativer. Det er en sjelden sjanse for å snakke med de og høre hva de mener selv.

Emne for panelsamtalen er muligheter for demokrati i Russland og rollen som eksilrussere og diaspora kan spille mens krigen pågår og når den tar slutt. Moderator av panelsamtalen er historiker og forfatter Jonas_Bals.">span>. Det blir 4 deltakere i panelen, deres navn annonseres senere.

Etter samtalen det blir mulig å møte og snakke med 20 representanter av antikrigsinitiativer med opprinnelse fra Russland fra 14 europeiske land og USA. Mange av de har vært dannet som svar på Russlands invasjon i Ukraina i 2022. De representerer også ">span> Platforma er et fellesskap som forener over 100 sivile og antikrigsorganisasjoner, hvor over 20 jobber fremdeles i dagens Russland, og er derfor anonyme.

Kvelden arrangeres av ,">span>, norsk forening av folk med opprinnelse fra Russland for demokrati og mot krigen i Ukraina.

🇬🇧Democracy in Russia seems like an utopia today. The war of aggression against Ukraine is in full swing, there are more than one thousand political prisoners in the country, and all resistance is mercilessly crushed. It looks dark, but is there also hope?

We invite you to an evening where you can learn about today's Russian democratic forces and get to know Russians who are standing against the war all over the world today. The program includes a panel discussion on opportunities for democratic development in Russia in the foreseeable future, and there will be an opportunity to meet representatives of Russian democratic initiatives. It is a rare chance to talk to them and hear what they think for themselves.

The topic of the panel discussion is possibilities for democracy in Russia and the role that Russians in exile can play during the war and when it ends. The moderator of the panel discussion is historian and author Jonas Bals. There will be 4 participants in the panel, their names will be announced later.

After the conversation it will be possible to meet and talk with 20 representatives of anti-war initiatives originating in Russia from 14 European countries and the United States. Many of them have been formed in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. They also represent the .">span>. Platforma is a community that unites over 100 civil and anti-war organizations, of which over 20 still work in today's Russia, and are therefore anonymous.

The evening is organized by en,">span>, a Norwegian association of people of Russian origin for democracy and against the war in Ukraine.

There will be light refreshments and it is free to participate, but we ask you to register.
