Civil Rights for Kids with ADHD
Every child should feel capable! But our kids with ADHD many times feel "stupid" as they struggle and see their peers completing assignments and not being yelled at constantly! What damage this does to their self-esteem! Federal law provides for support for our kids in order to either level the playing field (504) or provide special ed services. (IEP)
ADHD is a very complicated medical disorder that continues to be misunderstood! It is invisible. Behaviors are thought to be within their control without support.
