"Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" Screening and Q&A

As part of ,">span>, we are pleased to present a screening of the animated blockbuster Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023). The exciting Academy Award-nominated sequel follows Miles Morales as he catapults across the multiverse! Following the film, hear from three artists who helped take the web-slinger from the comic book to the screen -- David Bleich (BFA 1992 Illustration), David Han (BFA 2008 Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects), and Tatchapon Lertwirojkul (MFA 2007 Computer Art). The Q&A will be moderated by current SVA student Maxine Zhou (MFA 2025 Computer Arts).

Synopsis: Miles Morales catapults across the multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. When the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles must redefine what it means to be a hero.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is rated PG, and some material may be inappropriate for children under the age of 7. Children ages 3 and under may not be admitted.

Doors will open approximately 30 minutes prior to each screening. Guests can enjoy a special selection of videos by SVA alumni in the lobby while waiting to enter.

Ticket Information

All After School Special 2024 screenings are free and open to the public. General Admission RSVPs via Eventbrite are appreciated, but not necessary, and do not guarantee admittance. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
