Mx Sunday Pride: Kilopatrah Jones and Shaun J. Wright
29 June 2025
SUNDAY
1 p.m.
Mx Sunday is part of a nonstop weekend-long Pride festival taking place across the indoor and outdoor Nowadays spaces from Saturday, June 28 through Sunday, June 29 in coordination with Body Hack. Our event will fundraise for GLITS, an organization founded by Ceyenne Doroshow that provides immediate crisis support, healthcare access, and stable housing for transgender and sex worker communities in New York City.

For this edition of the party, we present our second musical takeover of the season, with Shaun J. Wright and Kilopatrah Jones in the DJ booth.

Kilopatrah Jones is a Queens-raised DJ and dancer and long-time attendee of Mister Sunday. They have an innate and superlative gift for transferring energy from the booth to the dance floor—through exciting house, techno, and jungle, and moments that have one foot in the Sound Factory–era glory days of NYC and the sweaty BPMs of the cutting edge of New York's current club sounds.

This will be Shaun J. Wright's second turn in the DJ booth at Mister Sunday, not to mention their innumerable spiritual turns emanating from our speakers. (Their 2012 song "Face Love Anew" with Stereogamous got a regular working at the party for many years before they first came and DJed for us.) When they played last time, it was clear they had not only invested years and years of dedication and time into their craft but that they'd also dedicated taken great effort to understand the musical direction of our dance floor. They unearthed songs that had been old classics of Mister Sunday and Mister Saturday Night, recontextualizing them amongst their own new discoveries and the deep knowledge they've amassed from years in the clubs of their hometown, Chicago.

It's gonna be a very special day in the back yard.

Welcome to Mister Sunday. Whether you've been at it with us since day one or you're new to the party, we look forward to seeing you here. All we ask is that you put away your phone and dance while you're on the dance floor. There's plenty of space in the sun and the shade otherwise for a chat and a hang, and we'll have excellent Mexican food for you throughout the party, a wide variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks at the bar and water throughout the space, always free and easy to access.

Tickets are here on RA, and you can RSVP for reduced admission at the link on this page. If joining us is ever a financial hardship for you, drop a line at by the Friday before the party, letting us know if you need a comp or what you can afford to contribute, and we'll do our best to make sure you have a spot. We value your presence more than your money.

We're looking forward to dancing with you.

RSVPers receive $10 off the door charge before 4pm and $5 off before 5pm. An RSVP is good for one person.

We stop taking RSVPs an hour before the party starts. In order to receive the RSVP discount, you must be at the ticket desk by the cutoff time and not just in line. It's wise to arrive early to make sure you're not standing in line when the time comes.

An RSVP does not guarantee entry. Sometimes parties do sell out, so if you want to be sure you'll get in, it's best to grab a ticket in advance.

Violence, non-consensual touching, racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, ageist or other discriminatory language, and leering are not allowed within our walls or in our back yard. If someone says or does something to make you feel uncomfortable while you’re here, let us know.
