Join us at Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick, Brooklyn for the 3rd Annual Garba in Brooklyn: A Navaratri Performance and Festival. This exciting event is FREE and open to the public—don't forget to RSVP!

Kick off the festivities with a vibrant dance concert featuring Indian dance styles including Semi-Classical, Bhangra, Kathak, Bollywack, and, of course, Garba!

Guest performance by the Bollywood Dance Academy

After the performances, get ready to join in the fun with a Garba and Dandiya Raas dance lesson! Dandiya sticks will be available with a suggested donation of $3-$5. Feeling creative? Visit our craft station to decorate your own dandiya!

What is Navaratri?
Navaratri is a nine-night festival from India celebrating the Goddess Durga. Whether this is your first time or you’ve celebrated many times before, this is a joyful event for everyone! The festival emphasizes community and celebrates through folk dance, welcoming people of all backgrounds and faiths to participate.

This event is made possible by a grant from the Brooklyn Arts Council.
