September 20-22, 2024

As a roving platform for providing strategies for social change, the Creative Time Summit is the largest global conference on socially engaged art, gathering artists, activists, and thought leaders from around the world. For Creative Time’s 50th anniversary, the Summit returns for a weekend-long conference, States of Emergence: Land After Property and Catastrophe, fostering and engaging dialogue surrounding the question: how does emergency produce radical possibility?

Considering borders and statelessness, land rights, agriculture, climate, resources, and formations for living beyond property, the Summit brings together artists, activists, and thought leaders from across the world who are mounting tactics of land justice, redistribution, reparation, sovereignty, and other reimaginings of the relationships between communities and land.

SLIDING SCALE PASSES

Established in 2009, the Creative Time Summit was created as a response to a demand from artists and practitioners working beyond the traditional art market, many of whom were intervening in areas of civic life, politics, and media. The first iteration of the Summit was a convening which presented a critical range of perspectives and provided strategies for social change. The Creative Time Summit has since grown into an international conference, and the leading convening for those working within disparate yet interconnected fields of art and social justice, while committing to accessibility.

After a five-year hiatus, we have taken stock of how the Summit has worked to remove barriers for attendance, whilst moving toward a more sustainable conference model. We believe that it is important to provide transparency around our mission to find a balance between accessibility and sustainability.

We ask that you review the tiers on offer, and responsibly assess what amount best fits your financial ability. The Full Access Summit pass, the purchase price that would allow us to break even, is $350.00. However, the Summit has a social responsibility to remain accessible, which is paramount to what we do; if you can’t afford to pay this amount then we have subsidized passes to offer. The Summit relies on the funds generated through selling passes to pay for speaker’s fees, travel, lodging, venue hire, AV support, live-streaming, marketing, and promotional initiatives, paying our advisors, and donating 10% of our passes to those who are not financially able to pay; please email us!!

The complete line-up and programming schedule will be announced in early September. Subscribe to Creative Time ">span> to receive updates about the community events, afterparty and plenary sessions over the Summit weekend.
