Welcome to the Winter Solstice Soiree 2025!

This year will be more decadent, twice as rich and three times as cosy.

We have a bigger venue, with a real fireplace!

Why throw a Solstice Soiree?

I enjoy making events, parties & spaces where people meet, enjoy laughter, great vibes & interesting chats.

Time is so precious.

Time *together* even more so.

Why Solstice?

This is the party on the longest night - the shortest day - to gather and share stories of past, present and future. We will gather for cheer and to make connections.

In New Zealand, this holiday is Matariki - celebrated, like midwinter in many cultures - with storytelling, gathering for warmth, eating, drinking and cheer.

There will be feasting!

There will be cocktails, mocktails and beverages of choice!

There will be storytelling!

From 19:00 we will hear from four storytellers, who will stick to the rules - on-topic, 5 minutes, a true and heartfelt story that happened to them.

There will be solstice rituals - the casting off of old ideas, and the planting of those new ones that you wish to cultivate with the turning of the season.
