The Museum for the Salvation Army Australia Territory , preserving and presenting Salvo history. The Salvation Army Australia Museum preserves and communicates the history of The Salvation Army in the Australia.
It holds a wide variety of collections, including the origins of the Salvation Army in Australia, Red Shield Services, musical instruments, uniforms, and publications. We also house Australia’s first dedicated film studio, from which the Army’s Limelight Department produced approximately 300 films between 1894 – 1909. The Museum is also open for research - by appointment only. (Please note that Client, Care-leaver, Personnel and Institutional Records are not held at the Museum).
