About your speakers:

has substantial experience and considerable passion for her work in Family Law and Children’s Law matters. She is an exceptional courtroom advocate with an emphasis on thorough preparation and a passion for cross examination.

practices primarily in Family Law, Intervention Orders and animal welfare. He is currently on the Animal Ethics Committee, Baker Heart Research Institute and is a member of Lawyers for Animals.

Nicholas’s family law practice involves all areas including child recovery, relocation, residency and contact and property settlement.

practises in Family Law with an emphasis on contentious and complex matters and matters that are likely to proceed to trial. He regularly appears in Magellan cases and for the Independent Children’s Lawyer. Jason is also an effective mediator and particularly valuable in mediations that call for well informed reality testing.

accepts briefs to appear in and advise on matters with a focus on family law and related areas of practice, including parenting and property matters, as well as to conduct mediations. George’s breadth of experience as an advocate and his years of practise as a solicitor mean that he is attuned to the needs of clients and instructing solicitors.

is a strong, experienced and down to earth advocate and mediator who accepts briefs in family law, intervention orders and child protection matters. Beth is an excellent negotiator and celebrates strengths in keen attention to detail, efficiency and organisation. She is a creative problem solver and digital native who is comfortable doing virtual appearances as well as mediations if appropriate.

practises in Family Law and Commercial Law and has particular expertise where these two practice areas intersect. Emile has strong quantitative skills and a deep understanding of complex commercial, accounting and financial issues. His experience in these areas result in him specialising in disputes involving complex quantitative issues and the analysis of expert reports.

is an Executive member of the Family Law Section. Before joining the Bar, Trevor was a senior associate at Ogilvie Jennings (Doyle’s Guide Tier 1 Family Law firm in Tasmania). During his 15 years as a solicitor, Trevor regularly appeared as counsel in courts and tribunals both at first instance and on appeal.
