Dr Mitra Zarrati, a dietitian with extensive experience in community health education and nutrition, will be hosting a workshop at Diamond Valley Learning Centre titled “Nutrition and Mental Health”. With over 15 years of experience in diet therapy, group training and wellness workshops, Dr Zarrati holds a PhD in Nutrition and Dietetics and is the founder and CEO of “Health Dash”, an online business dedicated to promoting healthy nutrition and public health.
This workshop will help you to understand the strong connection between food and mental wellbeing. The session will delve into how specific nutrients, like omega-3’s, B vitamins and magnesium, can influence mental clarity and emotional wellbeing. Our dietary choices significantly impact our mental health and this workshop will also explore how a healthy diet can help reduce stress, anxiety and depression. Dr Zarrati will discuss nutrients that boost brain function and mood, as well as the impact of processed foods and sugars on our overall wellbeing.
