Markaz x AusRelief in Melbourne: Iftar for Gaza
Join us as we debut Markaz x AusRelief in Melbourne for the very first time!
On Saturday 22 March, we will be hosting 'Iftar for Gaza', a night to break fast together, connect with others while raising funds for a great cause!
More than just a meal, this is an opportunity to connect with purpose. Every ticket purchased and every donation made will help provide essential aid to those in need this Ramadan.
All funds raised will go towards AusRelief's Gaza campaign. As Palestinians return to where their homes once stood, the need for tents and essentials is dire.
We believe shelter is a human right which is why our fundraising efforts will be directed towards purchasing tents this Ramadan.
The evening will also include:
- Welcome to Country from Wurundjeri Elder Uncle Andrew Gardiner
- Keynote speaker: Dr Bushra Othman
- Performance by Palestinian poet Sanabel
- Auction for Gaza
- More to be annouced soon
Iftar will be ~ 7.30 PM, but doors will be open from 6.00 PM for you to find your spot and mingle with other guests while you wait for the sun to set.
