FREE Birdwatching for teenagers (age 14-18)

20 September 2023 9 a.m.

Birdwatching brings nature to life! You most likely go outside and see and hear things everyday, but do you know what exactly those things are? Birdwatching inspires you to explore, learn and appreciate the wildlife that is in your backyard. Plus, studies show that birdwatching is great for your brain and body!

Come along to Jawbone Reserve and we'll show you how to use field equipment like binoculars and spotting scopes. We also have field guides to hand out so that you can continue to birdwatch at home.

1 ticket required per teen, no tickets needed for guardians. Guardians requested to stay throughout workshop duration.

Please come wearing sturdy shoes and a hat or rain gear depending on weather. Note: No toilets available on site

The 'Birdwatching in our Wetlands for Young People' Project is supported by the Victorian Government through the Youth Volunteering for Nature Fund.
