ESCOM 12th Triennial Conference co-located with the AMPS 2024 Conference

The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music is proud to host two stellar conferences side-by-side from 3rd to 6th July 2024 at the University of Melbourne. The European Society for Cognitive Science of Music (ESCOM) invites the global community of the field to take part in its escom-12-conferenceon">span>on 3-6 July 2024, with satellite hubs in Melbourne (Australia) and La Plata (Argentina). The conference's primary objective is to serve as an inclusive and sustainable platform for the exchange of cutting-edge music cognition research, bridging disciplines, theories, and cultures. The conference will feature the newest developments in research on music cognition, whilst also building an international research community that is inclusive for all participants. The conference will not adhere to a specific theme to encourage researchers from all corners of the cognitive sciences of music to explore their interest within this broad domain. Thematic strands will be created based on the scope of the programmed papers. The ESCOM12 conference is organised by a global committee comprising ESCOM members.

The Australian Music & Psychology Society invites you to join them in thein-person">span>in-person conference which is co-located with the ESCOM conference hub at the University of Melbourne. The vision of this meeting is to provide a face-to-face forum for AMPS members to gather, share ideas and present research. The AMPS conference presentations and activities will be hosted by AMPS separate to the ESCOM presentations. The AMPS2024 conference is organized by a conference committee comprising AMPS Committee members.

The schedule is such that the AMPS activities will take place during the day, allowing for full ESCOM participation in the evenings.

Tickets for the in-person ESCOM Melbourne hub will include participation in the AMPS conference, meaning that one ticket purchase will get you access to both conferences.
