Café 1001 is situated on Dray Walk, part of the Old Truman Brewery Building and is a brilliant focal point for all of Shoreditch, where London visitors and tourists flock to on the weekends. The venue is close to Spitalfields and the Sunday Markets hosted in the Old Truman Brewery building every Sunday and attracts tens of thousands of visitors. Brick Lane is rapidly becoming one of the most famous streets in London. Café 1001 is a combined Café and Club intrinsic to the Brick Lane area and a focal point for most. Though an established entertainment venue, we see ourselves as a creative playground for both established and up & coming artists. We put acts on every night in two rooms ranging from unsigned indie-rock bands and nu-jazz collectives on week days to drum & bass, techno and house DJs on the weekends. We operate a free entry policy which means that 90% of our acts are open to the public free of charge. This policy has secured us a huge and devoted crowd of students and young creative people. This policy moreover brings with it a huge flow of people going in and out of our doors. Furthermore, Café 1001 has been organising events ranging from dance performances, film screenings, live music acts, photography & art exhibitions, swing dance night and music festivals; making us the spotlight of attention. Our venue is not just a regular bar but a diverse world of entertainment like no other. Operating as usual
