Two Women – Stage Production
"Two Women" is based on two short plays that both tell stories of female relationships with men and with each other. Both plays explore themes of forbidden love and dysfunctional families.
"The Visit of a Young Lady" is set in modern times, somewhere in the world, where a young mistress visits the wife of her lover at their home. By the end of their encounter, a mutual respect forms, and both women realise that their strength lies within themselves rather than in their partners.
"Women’s Fate" offers a glimpse into life in Soviet Russia, where two caring women visit their men in the hospital and bond over the concepts of love and sacrifice for the family.
Both plays convey a powerful message of sisterhood and women's solidarity, offering a modern perspective on the timeless struggle between love and duty.
