Transform Conference

Transform Conference
19 October 2024
SATURDAY
10 a.m.

A year ago Transform was launched at a conference in Nottingham. We are now in a new political landscape with a Labour Government that's attacking working people and pensioners.

Our Conference will address some of the urgent questions facing our movement. Topics will include the Future of the Left , and combatting the threat from the Far Right. Key policy areas for discussion have been chosen by Transform members, and policy votes will be taken at the Conference.

The venue is in central London, within easy walking distance of Euston station. Those who register will be able to access the proceedings online. As a new party however, we particularly encourage our members from all parts of the UK to meet up in person. If travel costs are a barrier to you coming to London, we have a limited budget to financially support attendees. Please email [email protected] to request financial assistance. Event tickets are free, however we're asking those who can afford it to make a solidarity donation to help us to provide subsidised travel and other Conference expenses.

We'll be registering people from 10 and starting at 10.30, and will finish no later than 5.30pm.

UPDATE 25/09/24

The centrepiece of the morning session will be our forum on the Future of the Left, scheduled for 10.50 - 12.20. We’re delighted to welcome to conference Pamela Fitzpatrick, a Director of the Peace and Justice Project and a leading figure within Collective. Also on the platform will be Audrey White of Merseyside Pensioners Association and For The Many network, and our own amazing speakers Solma Ahmed and Anwarul Khan.

During the afternoon there'll be a workshop based session, and two sessions devoted to discussing Transform policy. One of these will be on Poverty & inequality, and the other one on Climate Crisis & Green Transition.

The final agenda and Zoom link will be sent out by email 7-10 days prior to conference.

Conference registration has just been opened up to allow Transform supporters and allies participating in Collective to attend in a non-voting capacity. The main reason for this is the level of interest in our Future of the Left forum in the morning of conference.
