The Godfathers The Godfathers are an influential English rock band from London, England, formed in 1985. Known for their hard-edged sound, the band has released a number of classic singles and albums throughout their career.
The band was formed by vocalist and guitarist Peter Coyne, guitarist and vocalist Chris Burrows, bassist and vocalist Mike Gibson, and drummer George Mazur. They released their debut album, Hit by Hit, in 1986 and achieved critical acclaim with their follow-up, Birth, School, Work, Death, in 1988. The band's popularity grew throughout the late 80's and early 90's, with the release of their third album, More Songs About Love & Hate, in 1989.
