London bread heavyweights The Dusty Knuckle Bakery are turning 10 and fundraising for their training programme.

On the evening of September 21st 2024, it’s party time at the iconic Dalston Roofpark, to help raise funds for the remarkable DK training programme and celebrate the growing community built by the staff and young trainees of this well-loved London food hotspot.

Brit & MOBO Award-winning, platinum album selling RUDIM3NTAL will be headlining our party on the roof, joined by DJ TARGET (1XTRA), bass music honcho CLIPZ, multi-genre DJ/producer CHLOÉ ROBINSON, new talent and underground bass music champion EMERALD, Soul Quest Records boss MAX SINAL, and Sports Banger’s very own ‘DJ’s DJ’ KLOSE ONE.

And for those who like their sounds acoustic, rising star JESSY BLAKEMORE, who’s building a reputation for blending soulful lyrics and mesmerising melodies while supporting acts like SZA, will be joining us. This is a great chance to discover her unique sound live - trust us, it will become much harder for you to catch her later!!

And hosting for the night? We welcome back to the family BAFTA-winner, MC, and TV chef BIG ZUU, who worked with our programme earlier this summer and will be back to keep things flowing and vibes with us on SEP 21st️.

DK trainees will also be on the bill, sharing what happens when communities support each other to make change.

Did you know Dusty Knuckle provides employability training and paid work to about 70 young people per year - most of whom are referred from the prison or care system? The bakery helps settle them into new career routes and provides the positive professional network they need to make their lives more independent. In return, together we provide the welcoming vibe and exceptional DK food you’ve grown to love.

Talking of exceptional food, we’ve given the DK chefs the evening off, and called on some friends, neighbours, and food royalty to keep your bellies full on the night. ‘Mezcla’ cookbook Queen Ixta Belfrage, Middle Eastern heavy hitters Bubala, smash Manna Burgers, and Afro-fusion from Cally Munchy, alongside Dalston’s own Ewarts Jerk and vegan Ethiopian goodness from Gwada Kitchen.
