Stefan Mahendra

Stefan Mahendra, a South London-based artist and producer, emerges as a distinct anomaly in the modern R&B landscape. Hailing from a rich cultural heritage, Stefan is the fusion of his Sri Lankan father and German mother, embodying a unique blend of influences. Raised in South London, he developed a profound connection to his roots while growing up immersed in the vibrant sounds of D'angelo, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, and Stevie Wonder. 



A major turning point in his career came with his first sold-out show at the esteemed Pizza Express Jazz Club in Holborn. This milestone was quickly followed by a second sold-out performance at the legendary Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, further cementing his status as a rising star. In June 2023, Mahendra played his biggest sold-out show to date at the 250-cap venue The Lower Third in Soho. 



The release of his debut EP Sentiments in July 2023 left a lasting mark, with tracks landing on key Spotify and Apple Music playlists, and standout single Orbit earning a feature on the Joe Budden Podcast. Since then, Stefan has amassed over 1 million streams across DSPs, and received consistent support from BBC Radio 1's Future Soul show. 

In December 2024, Stefan opened for US soul sensation Jarrod Lawson's UK tour, performing at prestigious venues such as Shepherds Bush Empire and Birmingham Town Hall. In January 2025, he returned to the Shepherds Bush Empire stage, supporting soul artist October London on his sold-out UK tour. 
With plenty of new singles on the way, his highly anticipated second EP is due for release in late 2025.
