Nabihah Iqbal is a British musician, producer, and DJ who creates eclectic music that fuses together a plethora of different genres with her own unique style. Formerly known as Throwing Shade, Iqbal has been steadily gaining a following in the UK music scene and abroad, thanks to her captivating live shows and critically acclaimed releases.

Born and raised in London to a Pakistani family, Iqbal was exposed to music from an early age and studied Ethnomusicology at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) before branching out into a career in music. Her diverse background has undoubtedly influenced her own music, which blends together an eclectic mix of sounds, from post-punk and indie rock to electronic and world music.

Under her previous moniker, Throwing Shade, Iqbal released a number of EPs, including 2013's "Mystic Places" and 2016's "House of Silk," which showcased her unique blend of dreamy pop melodies and danceable beats.
