How many Pikachus does it take to power a lightbulb? How much does a Charizard eat? Can Wailord actually live in the ocean? And why does the world of Pokémon seem to ignore the basic laws of physics?

Join mathematician Tom Crawford as he explores the maths of one of the world’s favourite video games and provides a mathematicians top tips for beating the catch rate formula.

This event is particularly suitable for ages 10+. As with all our family theatre talks, this event is designed to be enjoyed by adults and children together. All young people under the age of 13 need to be accompanied by a paying adult and those aged 4 and above need a ticket to attend.
